    Bob Jones High SchoolThe Bob Jones girls and boys basketball teams both play today in the AHSAA 6A regional finals at Wallace State. The girls play at 9 a.m. against Sparkman. The boys take the court at 10:40 a.m., also against Sparkman. Live scoring and stats for both games are being made available by the AHSAA.

    Both the Bob Jones girls and boys basketball teams advance to the AHSAA state basketball regional finals on Friday. Here are two stories from The Birmingham News on the victories:

    • “Minor’s boys basketball team came into its Class 6A Northwest Regional semifinal with the mindset of trying to stop Bob Jones’ Levi Randolph and Kyle Dennis on the offensive end.The Tigers stopped Dennis. They couldn’t stop Randolph.”
    • “Defending Class 6A champion and current No. 2 Bob Jones used a withering defense to shut down upset-minded Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa in the Northwest Regional here on Tuesday.”

    Bob Jones’ Levi Randolph lead the Bob Jones boys basketball team with 25 points in the team’s 63-45 victory over Minor today at Wallace State. The Patriots will play Sparkman High School in the AHSAA regional finals on Friday at 10:40 a.m. at Wallace State.

    Game scorers: Levi Randolph, 25; Jefferey Moss, 14; Cade Johnson, 6; Kyle Dennis, 7; Marquis Lindsey, 4; Tyler Davis, 3; Garius Nabors, 2; Vaughn Mccrary, 2

    Bob Jones’ Rikeya McKinnon lead the Bob Jones girls basketball team with 15 points in the team’s 51-23 victory over Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa today at Wallace State. The Patriots will play Sparkman High School in the AHSAA regional finals on Friday at 9 a.m. at Wallace State.

    Game scorers: Rikeya McKinnon, 15 points; Makena Randle, 8 points; Tiarra Pritchett, 6 points; Shelby Lambert, 6 points; Alisia Matthews, 6 points; Alexis Parkes, 6 points; Joidon Jennings, 2 points; Katie Colson: 2 points

    The Bob Jones boys basketball team today beat Minor 63-45 in the AHSAA state basketball tournament. Bob Jones will play Sparkman High School at 10:40 a.m. on Feb. 19 at Wallace State in the regional finals.

    The Bob Jones girls basketball team this afternoon beat Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa 51-23 in the AHSAA state basketball tournament. They next play Sparkman on Feb. 19th at 9 a.m. at Wallace State.
