Bob Jones junior Levi Randolph discussed the college basketball recruiting process with Tide Sports on Saturday. He says he has been approached by 13 teams with offers, but doesn’t yet have a favorite. He does expect to make a final decision in the fall:

I think I’m going to sign in November, so I can just play my senior year with no worries and know where I’m going after the season.

Randolph helped lead the Patriots to a 6A state championship this year with 20-point performance in the 61-45 win over Homewood. He earned tournament MVP honors for his effort.

Bob Jones High School is offering summer sports camps beginning in early June. The camps give young athletes a chance to receive special sports instruction and to learn the coaching methods of their potential future coaches. The Patriot Camp prices range from $20 to $65 and include a t-shirt. Payment is due two weeks prior to the beginning of each camp. The Bob Jones girls basketball team lost to Hoover tonight 39-19 in the AHSAA 6A finals in Birmingham.

The Bob Jones girls and boys basketball teams both play today in the AHSAA 6A finals at the BJCC in Birmingham. The girls play at 5 p.m. against Hoover. The boys take the court at 7 p.m. against Homewood. Live scoring and stats for both games are being made available courtesy of Jacksonville State. Birmingham’s CBS42 is live streaming the games online.

The Bob Jones boys basketball team beat Baker 69-64 today and will play in the AHSAA 6A finals Saturday at 7 p.m. against either Central-Phenix City or Homewood.

Marquis Lindsey was the leading scorer for the Patriots with 21 points. Also scoring were: Levi Randolph, 19 points; Jefferey Moss, 13 points; Cade Johnson, 8 points; Kyle Dennis, 6 points and Reggie Ragland, 2 points.

The Bob Jones girls basketball team today beat Davidson 51-41 and will play Saturday at 5 p.m. in the 6A finals against either Jeff Davis or Hoover.

Mekena Randall was the leading scorer for Bob Jones, putting up 19 points. Also scoring were: Rikeya McKinnon, 11 points; Tierra Jones, 7 points; DeAsha Campbell, 6 points; Tiarra Pritchett, 5 points and Joidon Jennings, 3 points.

The boys take the court at 10:30 a.m. against Baker. Live scoring and stats for both games are being made available courtesy of Jacksonville State. After trailing at the end of the third period 21-20, the Bob Jones girls basketball team pulled ahead in the final minute of game play to beat Sparkman 26-25. The Patriots next play Davidson in the ASHAA state semi-finals on Friday, Feb. 26 at 9 a.m. at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex. (More …)
