    Bob Jones football plays at home tonight against Hoover: The Bob Jones Patriots football team meets Hoover for the second time this season in a second round playoff game at 7 p.m. today. The game will be broadcast on 97.7 FM. Admission is $7 and parking is $5. Arrive early for seats as the game will be standing-room only. Temperatures will be in the mid-40s during the game with 5 to 6 mph winds and a clear sky.

    The Madison Police Department will participate in the Huntsville Veterans’ Day Parade this Friday. The department Corvette will escort a Wounded Warrior and the honor guard will march in the parade with national and state colors.

    Bob Jones Boys Soccer tryouts to be held in November: Tryouts for the Bob Jones 2012 Boys Spring Soccer season will be held Nov 14, 15, 16 and 17 on the Bob Jones turf field.     Huntsville wins 6A volleyball championship: Huntsville High School beat the Bob Jones Lady Patriots in three straight games Thursday morning to win the AHSAA 6A volleyball championship, 25-21, 25-15, 25-23.

    Huntsville High won the first game of the AHSAA volleyball finals against Bob Jones, 25-21. The state champion will be determined by the winner of the best of five games. Video of the match up is being streamed live.

    Bob Jones advances to state volleyball final: The Bob Jones Lady Patriots volleyball team will play in the state final game Thursday at 10:30 a.m. after beating Oak Mountain this afternoon in three straight games 25-18, 25-19 and 25-16. The Patriots will play Huntsville High to determine the AHSAA 6A champion.

    Lady Patriots beat Enterprise: The Bob Jones Lady Patriots volleyball team advanced in the AHSAA state tournament this morning after beating Enterprise High School 25-16, 25-20, 25-18. The Patriots next play Oak Mountain at 5:30 p.m. today. A victory against Oak Mountain would put the Patriots in the 6A final tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.
